Irish handcrafted paperweights made from brass. Featuring claddagh design. Paperweights originated in the days before modern offices and air-conditioning.

The only way to cool down was to open a window. Strong drafts could blow papers away. To counter this problem several companies started to produce paperweigths, heavy small objects that would sit on top of papers and prevent them from blowing away
