Ireland Central Bank 2006 First Euro Proof Set

Ireland's very first Euro Coin Proof Set issued by the Central Bank of Ireland in 2006. Only 5,000 of these sets were issued making it a very rare and collectable set.

 

 

The set completely sold out on the first day of issue, Tuesday April 11, 2006.

 

Proof Coins

Proof coins are regarded as the pinnacle in the craft of minting with Proof Sets being highly sought after by the most discerning of coin collectors.

This set was limited to an extremely low number of 5,000 for worldwide issue. Each set is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity

Due to the low numbers issued this set was massively oversubscribed. Only a lucky few collectors were lucky enough to get a set from the Central Bank and numbers issued to dealers were very limited.
