Terence MacSwiney Lord Mayor Of CorkDied on hunger strike
Terence MacSwiney (1879-1920) from Cork City was an Irish Republican, accountant, playwright and historian. He was elected Lord Mayor of Cork in 1920 upon the death of Thomas MacCurtain and died on hunger strike later that year in Brixton Prision, London.
