Surprisingly for an island nation, boating and sailing has not been of huge cultural significance, largely confined to the social classes. However all this has changed in recent years with a surge of interest in the sport of sailing. This section covers Irish sailing and boating memorabilia.

In Ireland, the ISA is the national governing body for sailing. Each summer the top Irish sailors converge upon Dun Laoghaire for the prestigous Ireland Sailing Championships.
