Ireland 1966 Easter Rising Framed 1966 Stamp Collection

'Special Framed Edition'This collection of genuine, mint stamps was issued on April 12th 1966 by the Irish Postal Authority to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the 1916 Rising. The set of stamps feature each of the seven Signatories of the 1916 Proclamation and a portrait of the G.P.O. in Dublin, the headquarters of the rebellion. Each of the seven signatories were executed along with nine others for their parts in the Rising.

The set of stamps were designed by Raymond Kyne based on hand drawings by Sean O'Sullivan and Edward Delaney.
