Ireland's Royal Boad Game
The game that takes 5 minutes to learn but a lifetime to master.
Designed by Murray Heasman. Inspired by the Book of Kells and its mesmorizing patterns woven among the vellum pages, Project Kells evolved. Standing atop the Hill of Tara and contemplating the conjoined ringforts of Forradh and Teach Chormac, the concept of this trilogy of games was born.
Steeped in the ancient legends of Ireland's celtic heritage and royal past, these unique games of pure strategy are appreciated by young an old alike. This is the culmination of twelve years work. Easy to learn, yet a lifetime to master, this is truly a gift to treasure. There are eight variations to stimulate the mind, so take it to your next level.
Game 1 - Sacred Hill
Sacred Hill is a connection game. Link all your ringforts together (if you can) with bridge tiles to create a magical landscape of Celtic Knotwork. Split your enemy up: "Divide and Conquer", that's the aim.
But watch out for the enemy, they may try to capture your territory - so attack, defend or sacrifice ?
All ages can enjoy a truly strategic experience.
Bonus Games
- Game 2 - High Kings of Ireland
- Game 3 - Poisoned Chalice
She has always been fascinated by our Celtic heritage. Inspiration found in the intricate knotwork adorning the ancient manuscripts, stone and metalwork, coupled with Rachel's love of a good story, have combined to produce some of the most popular images in contemporary Irish Celtic Art.
Mythologicial warriors rub shoulders with ancient historical figures and intertwine with animals, birds and fish rendered in the artist's unique style.
Her colors, though modern, emulate the softness of the natural pigments used by the Celts and a discerning eye will recognise shades of both Tuscany, where Rachel currently lives, and the Beara Peninsula, where she thrives on the rugged West Coas of Ireland.
Today her work is available worldwide, bringing a taste of Ireland to the four corners of the earth.
