The portrait on the note features James Joyce, author of Ullyses, arguably the most famous writer in Irish literary history.. The reverse of the note features the 'river mask' of the River Liffey in Dublin.
The overall theme from the C Series note is based on Irish historical figures. There were 192,000,000 of these notes issued, most of these were cashed in during the Euro changeover in 2001. This is an original note in circulated condition.
