Medal Replica sets

Beautifully presented framed replica sets of the special medals awarded by the Irish government to Easter Rising veterans and Irish War of Independence veterans in honor of their service to the Irish State.

Easter Rising Medals

The 1st medal was awarded in 1941 on the 25th anniversary and the 2nd in 1966 on the 50th anniversary to all verified suvivor veterans. Only about 900 medals were issued in 1966 and these scarce medals sets fetch up to euro €5000 in auctions

War of Independence Medals

The 1st medal was awarded in 1941 to those politically or military involved in the War of Indpendence from 1917 to 1921. The 2nd medal was awarded in 1971. A set of these medals will fetch up to euro €600 in auction today.
